The crowd at Friday's league match between the Voorheesville Blackbirds (Voorheesville, NY) and the visiting Lansingburgh Knights (Troy, NY), saw Voorheesville's softball squad achieve victory over Lansingburgh by a count of 8-0.

The Blackbirds now sport a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Cobleskill-Richmondville for a Section 2 Colonial match on Monday, May 6. Voorheesville will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-5 non-league win over Saratoga Central Catholic (Saratoga Springs, NY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Lansingburgh falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Knights host Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY) to face the Indians in a Section 2 Colonial match on Tuesday, May 7. The Indians enter the match with a record of 1-9.
