The Long Trail softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Mill River Minutemen to 14 in the league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Long Trail improves its record to 1-2 on the year. The host West Rutland (West Rutland, VT) to clash with the Golden Horde in a non-league game on Monday, May 6. The Golden Horde come into the game with a record of 5-0. West Rutland won 12-0 in their recent league game against Poultney (Poultney, VT)

In their next game, the Minutemen clash with the Woodstock Wasps (Woodstock, VT) in a SVL D game, on Monday, May 6. Mill River will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
