Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Lakers now own a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they host Smith Valley for a 1A Northern challenge on Friday, May 3. Pyramid Lake will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Coleville (Coleville, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Smith Valley falls to 9-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV) to battle the Lakers in a 1A Northern challenge on Friday, May 3. The Lakers enter the challenge with a record of 5-9. Pyramid Lake won 16-3 in their recent league challenge against Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV)
