Seaman Vikings (Topeka, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, KS), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they host De Soto for a United Kansas challenge on Monday, May 6. Seaman will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Basehor-Linwood (Basehor, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Shawnee Heights falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Piper (Kansas City, KS) to face the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Piper won 5-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS)
