The crowd at Saturday's league battle between the Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL) and the host Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL), saw Benet Academy's baseball team gain a win over Carmel by a tally of 8-3.

The Redwings (15-7) will now prepare for their battle against Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL). The Roadrunners enter the East Suburban Catholic battle with a 22-4 record. In their last battle, Nazareth Academy held off Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL), 7-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Corsairs face the Grayslake North Knights (Grayslake, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, May 6. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 4-18 record after their 15-5 league win over Round Lake (Round Lake, IL).
