The Galway Golden Eagles baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians to 3 in the Golden Eagles non-league win on Saturday.

The Golden Eagles now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cobleskill-Richmondville for a Section 2 Western - Southern test on Monday, May 5. Galway will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, Waterford-Halfmoon drops to 1-12 on the year. The Fordians host Stillwater (Stillwater, NY) to play the Warriors in a Section 2 Wasaren test on Monday, May 5. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 3-9. Stillwater won 5-4 in their recent league game against Hoosic Valley (Schaghticoke, NY)
