The Soldotna Stars baseball team scored 16 runs and held the host Grace Christian Grizzlies to 1 in the Stars league win on Saturday.
The Stars now own a 4-9 record. They take the field next when they host Homer for a Northern Lights test on Monday, May 5. Soldotna will play a Mariners team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Kodiak (Kodiak, AK). The Mariners record now stands at 6-3.
With the defeat, Grace Christian drops to 0-3 on the year. The Grizzlies travel to Redington (Wasilla, AK) to play the Huskies in a Northern Lights test on Monday, May 5. The Huskies go into the test with a record of 2-3. Redington lost 15-2 in their recent non-league test against Kenai Central (Kenai, AK)
