In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Mauston Golden Eagles baseball team scored a close 3-0 victory over the Royall Panthers.
The Golden Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their battle against Nekoosa (Nekoosa, WI). The Papermakers enter the South Central battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Nekoosa held off Adams-Friendship (Adams, WI), 6-4, in a league battle.
Next, the Panthers face the Wonewoc-Center Wolves (Wonewoc, WI) in a Scenic Bluffs battle, on Monday, May 5. Royall will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Wolves enter the battle with a 1-10 record after their 15-4 league loss to Cashton (Cashton, WI).
