The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA) and the host Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), saw Rockbridge County's baseball team beat Parry McCluer by a margin of 18-5.

The Wildcats (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA). The Dragons enter the Valley battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, William Monroe defeated Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Fighting Blues face the Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA) in a Pioneer battle, on Tuesday, May 6. Parry McCluer will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Chargers enter the battle with a 3-8 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV).
