The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) and the host Leo Lions (Leo, IN), observed Homestead's softball team notch a victory over Leo by a final score of 17-2.

The Spartans (12-1) will now prepare for their bout against Huntington North (Huntington, IN). The Vikings go into the non-league bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Huntington North was routed by Columbia City (Columbia City, IN), 20-9, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Carroll Chargers (Fort Wayne, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 6. Leo will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Columbia City (Columbia City, IN).
