The Stormin' Pointers (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA). The Vikings enter the WaMac-West battle with a 2-9 record. In their last battle, Vinton-Shellsburg was edged by Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA), 5-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) in a WaMaC-East battle, on Tuesday, May 6. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 8-0 league win over West Delaware (Manchester, IA).
