In Saturday's non-league test, the Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI) softball squad overwhelmed the host Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers (Flint, MI), by a tally of 21-0.

Next, the Vandals clash with the Coleman Comets (Coleman, MI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 3. Merrill will attempt to advance on its 8-7 season record. The Comets go into the test with a 4-10 record after their 12-9 non-league loss to Benzie Central (Benzonia, MI).

The Cavaliers (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Gladwin (Gladwin, MI). The Flying G's go into the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Gladwin prevailed over Harrison (Harrison, MI), 13-7, in a league test.
