In Monday's non-league challenge, the Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) baseball squad edged the visiting Carrollton Hawks (Carrollton, IL), by a final score of 4-3.
With the win, Brown County upgrades its record to 23-5 on the season. The Hornets travel to Marquette (Ottawa, IL) to battle the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Friday, June 3. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 31-3. Marquette won 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL)
With the defeat, Carrollton falls to 12-16 on the season.
