Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Central Woodstock Falcons (Woodstock, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Page County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 1. Clarke County will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Strasburg (Strasburg, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, Central Woodstock falls to 8-8 on the campaign.
