Le Mars Bulldogs (Le Mars, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jefferson Yellowjackets (Council Bluffs, IA), 8-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop Heelan Catholic for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 6. Le Mars will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Jefferson falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host AHSTW (Avoca, IA) to face the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 31. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
