The Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA) baseball got by the visiting AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA), 4-3 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Defenders now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lisbon for a Tri-Rivers - East challenge on Monday, June 2.
With the defeat, AGWSR drops to 3-3 on the year. The Cougars host Columbus (Waterloo, IA) to clash with the Sailors in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 4. The Sailors go into the challenge with a record of 2-7.
