The Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) baseball trounced the host Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA), 10-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Linn for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 3.

With the defeat, Nashua-Plainfield drops to 1-3 on the year. The Huskies host St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA) to clash with the Saints in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 4. The Saints go into the challenge with a record of 5-0.
