The Webster City Lynx baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Newell-Fonda Mustangs to 5 in the Lynx non-league win on Friday.

The Lynx now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Urbandale for a non-league test on Saturday, May 31. Webster City will clash with a J-Hawks team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Valley (West Des Moines, IA). The J-Hawks record now stands at 3-4.

With the defeat, Newell-Fonda drops to 1-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Glidden-Ralston (Glidden, IA) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league test on Monday, June 2. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 2-3. Glidden-Ralston lost 12-5 in their recent non-league test against Madrid (Madrid, IA)
