The Blackford Bruins softball squad (Hartford City, IN), was edged 3-2 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Alexandria-Monroe Tigers (Alexandria, IN)

With the triumph, Alexandria-Monroe improves its record to 19-1 on the year. The Tigers travel to Lapel (Lapel, IN) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Tuesday, June 3. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 22-6. Lapel won 13-1 in their recent non-league contest against Elwood (Elwood, IN)

The Bruins now hold a 7-12 record.
