The Becton Wildcats softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Rutherford Bulldogs to 4 in the Wildcats non-league win on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hanover Park for a non-league battle on Wednesday, June 4. Becton will confront a Hornets team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Bernards (Bernardsville, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 12-8.

With the loss, Rutherford moves to 16-7 on the season.
