Mt. Blue Cougars (Farmington, ME) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME), 11-10 in a league game.

With the triumph, Mt. Blue upgrades its record to 5-7 on the year. The Cougars travel to Lawrence (Fairfield, ME) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, June 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Lawrence won 10-9 in their recent league bout against Nokomis (Newport, ME)

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Skowhegan River Hawks (Skowhegan, ME) in a Class A North bout, on Tuesday, June 3. Messalonskee will attempt to advance on its 3-11 season record. The River Hawks go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME).
