The West Wilkes Blackhawks triumphed over the host North Lenoir Hawks softball squad by a count of 9-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Blackhawks meet the North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 31. West Wilkes will attempt to upgrade on its 27-3 season record.
The Hawks (20-5) will now prepare for their challenge against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks enter the non-league challenge with a 25-3 record. In their last challenge, West Wilkes overcame Randleman (Randleman, NC), 8-0, in a non-league challenge.
