Michigan High School Softball - Chippewa Valley nudges Lutheran North

Chippewa Valley Big Reds (Clinton Township, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lutheran North Mustangs (Macomb, MI), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Big Reds now own a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they host Rochester for a Oakland - Blue challenge on Wednesday, June 1.
With the loss, Lutheran North falls to 26-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, MI) to battle the Fighting Irish in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 4. The Fighting Irish enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Notre Dame Prep lost 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against North Branch (North Branch, MI)
