The Webster City Lynx softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS to 1 in the Lynx league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Webster City improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Lynx travel to Van Meter (Van Meter, IA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Saturday, June 1. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 8-1. Van Meter won 13-1 in their recent non-league game against A-D-M (Adel, IA)

In their next game, the clash with the Clear Lake Lions (Clear Lake, IA) in a North Central game, on Monday, June 3. Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Lions come into the game with a 4-3 record after their 15-4 non-league win over Riceville (Riceville, IA).
