Iowa High School Softball - Montezuma bounces Keota

Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Keota Eagles (Keota, IA), 27-9 in a league challenge.

The Braves now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Van Buren County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 1. Montezuma will face a Warriors squad coming off a 8-1 league win over Holy Trinity Catholic (Fort Madison, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Keota falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA) to face the Warhawks in a South Iowa Cedar challenge on Monday, June 3. The Warhawks enter the challenge with a record of 3-3.
