The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs routed the visiting Roland-Story Norsemen softball squad by a final score of 6-0 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Mustangs (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against South Hamilton (Jewell, IA). The Hawks go into the Heart of Iowa battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, South Hamilton nudged Denver (Denver, IA), 8-4, in a non-league battle.

The Norsemen now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Nevada for a Heart of Iowa battle on Monday, June 3. Roland-Story will meet a Cubs squad coming off a 12-5 non-league loss to Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA). The Cubs record now stands at 2-7.
