St. Ansgar Saints (St. Ansgar, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host West Fork Warhawks (Sheffield, IA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Saints now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Rockford for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 3. St. Ansgar will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to Central Springs (Manly, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, West Fork falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Warhawks travel to Osage (Osage, IA) to battle the Green Devils in a Top of Iowa-East challenge on Monday, June 3. The Green Devils enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Osage lost 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA)
