In Wednesday's league game, the visiting Chicago University Maroons baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Lake Forest Academy Caxys.
The Maroons (5-6) will now prepare for their game against Elgin Academy (Elgin, IL). The Hilltoppers go into the Independent School game with a 1-6 record. In their last game, Elgin Academy was edged by Harvest Christian Academy (Elgin, IL), 11-1, in a non-league game.
The Caxys (2-6) will now prepare for their game against Latin (Chicago, IL). The Romans go into the Independent School game with a 9-1 record. In their last game, Latin tipped North Shore Country Day (Winnetka, IL), 9-1, in a league game.
