Westford Academy Grey Ghosts (Westford, MA) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Newton South Lions (Newton, MA), 3-2 in a league match.

In their next game, the Grey Ghosts meet the Wayland Warriors (Wayland, MA) in a Dual County game, on Friday, May 6. Westford Academy will attempt to improve on its 10-1 season record.

The Lions (6-3) will now prepare for their game against Waltham (Waltham, MA). The Hawks enter the Dual County game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Waltham was nudged by Lincoln-Sudbury (Sudbury, MA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
