Michigan High School Softball - Almont holds off Algonac

May 4, 2022: Algonac, MI 48001

Almont Raiders (Almont, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Algonac Muskrats (Algonac, MI), 4-2 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now sport a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Croswell-Lexington for a Blue Water Area challenge on Thursday, May 5. Almont will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 15-1 league loss to Richmond (Richmond, MI). The Pioneers record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Algonac falls to 14-2 on the campaign. The Muskrats travel to Dakota (Macomb, MI) to face the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 7-1.
