Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Royals now sport a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fenton for a Upstate Eight challenge on Thursday, May 5. Larkin will face a Bison squad coming off a 15-3 league loss to Glenbard East (Lombard, IL). The Bison record now stands at 9-11.

With the loss, Elgin falls to 2-16 on the campaign. The Maroons host South Elgin (South Elgin, IL) to face the Storm in a Upstate Eight challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Storm enter the challenge with a record of 17-4. South Elgin won 19-0 in their recent league challenge against Aurora East (Aurora, IL)
