The Freeman Scotties softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Newport Grizzlies to 1 in the Scotties league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Freeman moves its record to 11-4 on the year. The Scotties travel to Riverside (Chattaroy, WA) to play the Rams in a 1A Northeast game on Tuesday, May 10. The Rams come into the game with a record of 11-4.

In their next game, the Grizzlies play the Liberty Lancers (Spangle, WA) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 9. Newport will attempt to move on its 4-10 season record. The Lancers come into the game with a 16-2 record after their 17-0 league win over Kettle Falls (Kettle Falls, WA).
