The Van Buren Pointers softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Russellville Cyclones to 12 in the Pointers league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Van Buren moves its record to 14-4 on the year. The Pointers travel to Har-Ber (Springdale, AR) to clash with the Wildcats in a 6A West game on Friday, May 6. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 7-11.

In their next game, the Cyclones clash with the Maumelle Hornets (Maumelle, AR) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 5. Russellville will attempt to move on its 10-11 season record. The Hornets come into the game with a 9-8 record after their 13-2 non-league win over Woodlawn (Rison, AR).
