Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, May 9. Dixon will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 2-2 league West Carteret (Morehead City, NC).

The Pirates now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richlands for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 10.
