In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Annandale Atoms soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials.
The Atoms (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA). The Majors come into the National battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Mount Vernon was nudged by Hayfield (Alexandria, VA), 2-1, in a league battle.
