The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) and the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), saw Hibriten's soccer squad knock off Ashe County by a margin of 3-1.

The Panthers now sport a 11-3 record. They play next when they travel to Watauga for a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Monday, May 8. Hibriten will meet a Pioneers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 12-2.

With the loss, Ashe County drops to 11-5 on the season. The Huskies travel to Freedom (Morganton, NC) to meet the Patriots in a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Monday, May 8. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 4-10. Freedom won 5-0 in their recent league test against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)
