Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines confront the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge, on Monday, May 8. Polk County will attempt to better on its 15-3 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 5-0 league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC).

The Blue Devils now have a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Rutherford for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge on Tuesday, May 9. Brevard will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 4-1 league loss to Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 9-6.
