Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Crusaders now own a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kingston for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. Monroe-Woodbury will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 11-9 non-league win over Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Middletown falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Middie bears host Warwick (Warwick, NY) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Warwick lost 11-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY)
