Oneonta Yellowjackets (Oneonta, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats (Bainbridge, NY), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Windsor Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. Oneonta will battle a Black Knights squad coming off a 8-5 league win over Susquehanna Valley (Conklin, NY). The Black Knights record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Bainbridge-Guilford falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Walton (Walton, NY) to battle the Warriors in a Section 4 Midstate I challenge on Monday, May 8. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 2-11.
