John Champe Knights (Aldie, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Battlefield Bobcats (Haymarket, VA), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Unity Reed for a Cedar Run challenge on Monday, May 8. John Champe will clash with a Lions team coming off a 13-0 league loss to Osbourn (Manassas, VA). The Lions record now stands at 0-12.

In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the Fauquier Falcons (Warrenton, VA) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 5. Battlefield will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Falcons come into the game with a 8-10 record after their 4-2 league win over Liberty (Bealeton, VA).
