New York High School Softball - Brewster nudges John Jay

Brewster Bears (Brewster, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host John Jay Wolves (Cross River, NY), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Yorktown for a Section 1 II - C challenge on Saturday, May 6. Brewster will face a Huskers squad coming off a 9-4 league win over Somers (Lincolndale, NY). The Huskers record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, John Jay falls to 5-10 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Poughkeepsie (Poughkeepsie, NY) to face the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 1-4.
