The Chaska Hawks routed the visiting Orono Spartans softball squad by a count of 9-4 in Thursday's league battle.

The Hawks (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against New Prague (New Prague, MN). The Trojans go into the Metro West battle with a 5-1 record.

The Spartans now sport a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Chanhassen for a Metro West battle on Monday, May 8.
