In Thursday's league contest, the Clinton County Bulldogs (Albany, KY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY), by a margin of 9-4.

With the triumph, Clinton County moves its record to 16-8 on the year. The Bulldogs host Casey County (Liberty, KY) to play the Rebels in a non-league contest on Friday, May 5. The Rebels come into the contest with a record of 6-13. Casey County won 7-4 in their recent non-league contest against Lincoln County (Stanford, KY)

In their next game, the Lakers play the Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, May 10. Russell County will attempt to move on its 6-17 season record. The Golden Lions come into the contest with a 10-10 record after their 11-6 non-league loss to Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY).
