Clovis West Golden Eagles (Fresno, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clovis East Timberwolves (Clovis, CA), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Golden Eagles now own a 10-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buchanan for a Tri-River challenge on Tuesday, May 9. Clovis West will face a Bears squad coming off a 10-1 league loss to Central (Fresno, CA). The Bears record now stands at 12-11.

With the loss, Clovis East falls to 13-13 on the campaign. The Timberwolves host Clovis (Clovis, CA) to face the Cougars in a Tri-River challenge on Tuesday, May 9. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 18-7. Clovis lost 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Clovis North (Fresno, CA)
