Iowa-Grant Panthers (Livingston, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cuba City Cubans (Cuba City, WI), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host Riverdale for a Southwest Wisconsin Activities challenge on Monday, May 8. Iowa-Grant will face a Chieftains squad coming off a 11-4 league loss to Fennimore (Fennimore, WI). The Chieftains record now stands at 3-10.

With the loss, Cuba City falls to 12-3 on the campaign. The Cubans travel to River Valley (Spring Green, WI) to face the Blackhawks in a Southwest Wisconsin challenge on Friday, May 5. The Blackhawks enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. River Valley won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Lancaster (Lancaster, WI)
