East Islip Redmen (Islip Terrace, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Babylon Eagles (West Babylon, NY), 7-2 in a league challenge.

The Redmen now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Islip for a challenge on Saturday, May 6. East Islip will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 7-1 league loss to Hauppauge (Hauppauge, NY). The Buccaneers record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, West Babylon falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Deer Park (Deer Park, NY) to face the Falcons in a Section 11 AA/A-4 challenge on Saturday, May 6. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Deer Park lost 9-1 in their recent league challenge against East Islip (Islip Terrace, NY)
