The West Chicago Wildcats softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Elgin Maroons to 0 in the Wildcats league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, West Chicago improves its record to 14-9 on the year. The Wildcats travel to South Elgin (South Elgin, IL) to clash with the Storm in a Upstate Eight game on Monday, May 8. The Storm come into the game with a record of 16-4. South Elgin won 10-0 in their recent league game against Fenton (Bensenville, IL)

In their next game, the Maroons clash with the Streamwood Sabres (Streamwood, IL) in a Upstate Eight game, on Monday, May 8. Elgin will attempt to improve on its 1-19 season record. The Sabres come into the game with a 2-15 record after their 17-1 league loss to Glenbard East (Lombard, IL).
