Huntington Huntsmen (Chillicothe, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Paint Valley Bearcats (Bainbridge, OH), 17-3 in a league challenge.

The Huntsmen now own a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Zane Trace for a Scioto Valley challenge on Saturday, May 6. Huntington will battle a Pioneers squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Westfall (Williamsport, OH). The Pioneers record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Paint Valley falls to 5-18 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Piketon (Piketon, OH) to battle the Redstreaks in a Scioto Valley challenge on Friday, May 5. The Redstreaks enter the challenge with a record of 7-9. Piketon lost 14-1 in their recent league challenge against Adena (Frankfort, OH)
