Spectators at Thursday's league match between the John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA) and the visiting Union Bears (Appalachia, VA), witnessed John Battle's softball squad tip Union by a count of 10-9.

The Trojans now sport a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Abingdon for a Mountain 7 match on Thursday, May 11.

With the loss, Union moves to 1-3 on the season.
