Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats (Manning, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Williamsburg Academy Stallions (Kingstree, SC), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Swampcats now own a 18-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hammond for a SCISA AAA Region I challenge on Monday, May 8. Laurence Manning Academy will battle a Skyhawks squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Wardlaw Academy (Johnston, SC). The Skyhawks record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Williamsburg Academy falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Stallions host Orangeburg Prep (Orangeburg, SC) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 13-5. Orangeburg Prep won 14-1 in their recent non-league challenge against John Paul II (Ridgeland, SC)
